Party party

Sunday, June 28th, 2009

We had a little ‘meet Luc’ dinner party on Friday, and had all my grad students over.  Of course I forgot to take any photos while they were here.  But here’s a great pic of Lucas wearing the present they got him, I love it!

And ’tis the season for BBQs in Atlanta, Luc has been making the rounds at our friends houses.  Here are some recent pics from Rich and Agata’s house.

Luc usually sleeps the whole time we have him out and about in the evenings.

But sometimes he’ll open his eyes and give a little look around, or shady sideways glance like this one…

We finished our basement project (our first major home improvement) right before Lucas’ arrival. It was about a month of people coming to work on the basement almost everyday, and it was pretty exciting to see the transformation.

It’s been a little hard to describe our basement project to people, because we didn’t exactly “finish” the basement but really just brought it up to what most people would call an unfinished basement. So, I guess we “unfinished” our basement?

Anyway, check out the before and after videos, and you’ll see what I mean!  Password = pitanga

Amazing bears

And here is our little guy hard at work figuring out the world.  Over the past week he’s really started being more alert, checking things out, it’s pretty fun.

Also check out the nice new outfit he’s wearing a present all the way from Brazil!

Grandma J & Grandpa C

Monday, June 8th, 2009

We just had a nice visit with Grandma Jan and Grandpa Clark.   We took an insane number of Lucas photos, I won’t post all of them I promise 🙂  But these were my favorite two of him gazing lovingly at GJ & GC.

We spent a good amount of time lounging around and taking turns holding the baby, but also got Luc out and about on his first outings to places other than the park.  He happily hung out in his stroller at a neighborhood coffee shop, on the patio at the UJoint, and for a visit to Georgia Tech.
