First trip to Whole Foods was a little exhausting!

I scream, you scream, we all scream for…

Here are some fun photos from our walk to the neighborhood Gelato shop during Thomaz’s mom’s visit.   The only evidence that she was with us, is that these are rare photos of both me and Thomaz together.

It was a very hot day, so we decided to walk to Paulo’s.  Come to find out they are very dog friendly and have a special doggie-ice-cream that is dairy-free and sugar-free.  We got one each for Mario and Luigi, they loved it!

And here are a couple of cute pics of Luc taken that day.  He was pretty happy and smily, out and about in his stroller.

A visit from Brazil!

July has been a busy month around here, so we’ve been a little lax on getting pics and updates here. Earlier this month, Lucas had his first visitor from Brazil! We were very excited that Thomaz’s mom was able to come and be with us the second week of July.  We had a wonderful visit.  A few walks around the neighborhood, some nice home cooking, and lots of quality Lucas time.  Grandma even babysat while we went to BBQ one evening, very nice!

Vera brought so many things from Brazil, presents from all of the great aunts, uncles, grandparents that Lucas has in Sao Paulo.  The shirt he’s wearing in the photo above is from the Northeast of Brazil, and here he is in part of his Corinthians soccer fan outfit, the tiny little shoes with the team logo!

Mario found a friend forever, so it wasn’t only Lucas that was sad to see Vera go.  She had the patience to play rope with him longer than any of us…and by the second or third day she was here, Mario would go get his rope as soon as she came downstairs in the morning.

Thanks for coming Grandma Vera, was a great trip!

July 4th

Happy July 4th!  We took a few patriotic photos yesterday, and noticed that our household was looking pretty subdued!

Despite the sleepy-looking photos, we had a fun day.  And here’s a video of Lucas looking a little more proud to be an American.  He’s been getting more and more active, it’s really fun!  (password: pitanga)
