The Fam

Saturday, July 16th, 2011

Thankfully Grandma Jan thought to snap a family photo, we are notoriously bad at remembering to get photos of all of us together.

And here are some of Lucas and Stella, he seems pretty happy about her so far!

Big Brother Party

Saturday, July 16th, 2011

Lucas came to the hospital on Saturday, for his big brother party, which we’d been talking about for a few weeks.

He was curious about Stella from the beginning, but didn’t really interact with her until Thomaz brought her over, and then he was really gentle and sweet. (pw=pitanga).

And of course a big hit of the big bro party were the presents that baby Stella gave him (pw=pitanga).

Stella Rosemarie

Saturday, July 16th, 2011

Our little Stella Bella is already 1 week old!  Wouldn’t say that we have things under control yet, but things are starting to settle down enough to sit in front of the computer and get a few pics posted.

She was born at 1:55pm on Friday July 8th.  And a new thing at our hospital was that they did all the newborn exams and bath and everything right in the labor and delivery room, so that was nice that they didn’t whisk her away to the nursery.

Here are some pics at the hospital, a proud papa, and then a lot of sleeping!

We headed home from the hospital on Sunday morning

And here are some pics from the first few days home…getting all dressed up in some of her girly clothes, pink bows and kitty pants.

And then more sleeping…

Happy Birthday Stella!

Friday, July 8th, 2011

We are here at the hospital where earlier today our baby girl, Stella Rosemarie Thomaz, was born. She is healthy and beautiful and it’s hard to describe how ecstatic and lucky we feel to welcome her into the world and our family. Here are her stats: 7.5lb, 20in, born at 1:55pm.

Mom is doing great, getting some good and well deserved rest. We will be posting lots of pictures soon.

Nursery – Playroom – Guestroom

Saturday, July 2nd, 2011

The plan for baby girl’s sleeping arrangements has been evolving. Currently the thought is that the kids will eventually share one room, once she’s sleeping through the night. Then our third bedroom upstairs can be a playroom and guestroom. But for now it will be a nursery. So we did some redecorating! You’ll notice the lack of crib in said nursery, which will move over as soon as Lucas is ready to give it up. Actually I think Lucas is pretty ready to sleep in his toddler bed, but mom is not ready to give up the confinement of the crib.  We currently have both setup in his room, so he can use either one.  The other night he quietly slipped out of his toddler bed, turned on his light, and had every single book laid out in the middle of the floor. We didn’t notice until Thomaz went out to walk the dogs and noticed his light on from outside 🙂
